Consume me

I feel the night consume me
Deep within my sorrow
I lay here and wish
To feel different tomorrow

Taken by the loneliness
Lost within my hell
Why’d you go and leave me here
Now I’m left to dwell

The happiness escapes me
You, I’ll never forgive
The pain you put me through
Bittersweet that it’s over with

Enveloped in the darkness
Blending into night
My spirit once so free
Now you’ve stolen my light

I pray this will be over soon
Someone will set me free
You’ll be gone out of my life
Happiness can truly be

I feel the light consume me
Whenever he is near
I know his life is fading
The one I held so dear
